We had known for a few days that Xiaomi was preparing for the launch of the Redmi Note 5 and its first Mi TV in India on February 14th. These two variants of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 will have a microSD card slot for storage expansion. They will run the MIUI 9 software based on Android 7.1.2 Nougat. Coming to the high-end model of the Redmi 5 series, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro will have the same display as that of the Redmi Note 5, which means you'll get a 5.99-inch IPS LCD screen with Full HD resolution + (2160 × 1080 pixels), 18: 9 aspect ratio and 2.5D curved glass screen. The main changes will be in terms of processor and camera configuration facing backwards.
