The Ring Motiv Ring is more discreet than a bracelet connected
Connected wristbands that track the user's activity are numerous. But maybe you find them too cumbersome and restrictive. To remedy this, the American start-up Motiv has developed a ring, simply called "Motiv Ring", offering exactly the same features, but in a format, in fact, more discreet. The company exhibited its product at CES 2018.
The Motiv Ring is a completely waterproof titanium ring that measures the physical activity of the wearer (number of steps, heart rate, sleep). We just have to pass it around the finger. In theory, the user will more easily get used to wearing a ring than a bracelet.
In addition, the Motiv Ring is very autonomous because it promises a 3-day endurance on its battery and only needs 90 minutes of refueling to refuel. Moreover, to give a boost to the device, it is necessary to use a tiny magnetic dock that plugs into a USB port. The ring comes in seven different sizes and comes in two colors, Rose Gold and Slate Gray.
It is then possible to find all the monitoring of its activity on the Motiv mobile application. This one is unfortunately only available on iOS for the moment, but the American start-up is working actively to bring it on Android. The Motiv Ring is currently only available in the United States for a fee of $ 199. The brand wants to expand into other markets soon.
